TRO toe in the water for Peak Park

It’s a first for the the Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA)! They have brought in an (experimental) Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) lasting an initial 18 months to keep 4x4s and trail bikes off Chapel Gate, an iconic and severely damaged route betwteen Edale and Chapel en le Frith. The idea of the experimental order is to see if it will help the SSI through which Chapel Gate passes to recover from the damage done by offroaders. Talk about caution! Why not a permanent TRO from day one? Come on PDNPA…
